Appearance and hardware:

Appearance:

We can then see the front side of the phone in the above picture, where we can see three touch buttons at the bottom. 1. The back key, 2. The windows key, 3. Search button. At the top we have the 1.3MP camera for video calling through apps (direct video calling not supported).
The backside contains the 6.7MP camera (quite brilliant even than the 20k android competitors) Carl Zeiss with single LED flash. Below you can see the speaker on left bottom. Those "three dots" make many to wonder on their 1st look it's the wireless charging provision, we have to buy Wireless charging cover additionally to make use of this feature. It may come around 3500-4000 additional the nokia retailer said not sure with the price though.

Side buttons:

It has only side buttons on the right side of the phone,
The first button is the volume rocker acts as a "volume controller" when locked and the display light is on. The second button is the "Lock Key". The third one is the dedicated "Camera button". These apply default for the entire Lumia family. These pics were taken from its younger sibling Lumia 520 of Ganesh sir.
Lumia phones produce a descent output of pics.

Let's jump into its functionalities:

Windows 8 is the OS, the 1st thing that pings your mind when you think win8 is the "Live Tiles" feature. The live tiles are fully customizable see how I have arranged them on my 720,
The lock screen is the next part, until now there are no themes for Lumia but background image can be customized there are some apps which LL help with these processes.
2. LUMIA pusher
Then the next is the vertical arrangement of apps, the switching between the start screen and the app page is awesomely fluid, even this feature is lacking in the 20k androids, I have installed more than 70apps within days and the phone's fastness has not reduced a bit.

 2. Marketplace:
Don't think that the review focuses the positive side here comes the best part for the pessimists, the market is still in beta stage only very very few apps have tried to reach the ultimate star stage. (Even Whatsapp fell to this)! If you are a hardcore whatsapp user you'll get tired with the current version, many are waiting for the graceful update (add me too in the list)!!!
You can't find many apps and games you see in android playstore here, even if it is available then it is only in the paid section (talking cat, file manager) !
The payment can also only done through credit cards, debit users (boooooooooo)  same as other markets!

3. Camera:
If you are an owner of this slightly over-rated from a midrange phone you can clearly understand that Nokia is trying very hard to outrun its rival droids! That's not enough I hope... But even the counterparts have to accept that this phone has an aaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwsome camera quality especially in low light, the apps which are available free under camera section also backs the 6.7MP camera.

4. Music:

Music is a pleasant thing as the finish has again proved themselves in the music section though the phone lock in built FM player but it has many apps to support it on-line! But the Dolby Earphones doesn't get locked into the small ears properly (personally I use Sony, thy nokia headphones rest in peace inside the box)! the sound quality is awesome in good eargears. The call quality I have no words talking about , the noise reduction has met the next level I should say!

5. Internet usage & charging:

Though I'm not a regular 3g user, I got impressed with the speed of Lumia in 3g & now got addicted!!! When I use 3g the charge limit is 8-9 hours max in 2g it stands a day for me! But as usual Internet Explorer is not a worthy option, UC browser too is in beta stage it still have many bugs.
Tips: 1. To switch off the mobile long press lock key, if the phone hangs up then press volume                      down & lock key simultaneously to restart.
          2. To take screen shots in wp8 press windows key+ lock key
          3. To get the cursor to move to different words while texting to keep pressing the text typing                area and guide the blinking cursor to the desired location.

Final verdict after my usage of Lumia 720 is, the phone is worth the price and functions equally and better than the same price counterparts! the only thing people keep on talking over the face is the Marketplace! Once they surpass this problem Android is going home for sure!

Keep on track for more info about Lumia & MS !
